On May 3rd, 2024, Alan McDermott, a Construction Lecturer from Solihull College, introduced Year 11 pupils to bricklaying at the Woodlands Campus. After learning some bricklaying theory, the pupils practiced rolling mortar and then laid bricks to construct a pyramid-shaped wall. They finished their brickwork to a high standard using a jointing iron.

The walls looked fantastic, and the pupils were rightfully proud of their achievements!
