Welcome to our Governing Body Information Page.
Our school is part of the Manor Hall Academy Trust which means that rather than having a Governing Body we have a Local Advisory Board (LAB).
This group of volunteers essentially carries out the duties of the Governing Body as found in non-academy schools.
Our LAB is comprised of 10 members:
- 6 Co-opted LAB members
- These are usually local people with a variety of experiences/backgrounds.
- The Chair and Vice Chair of the LAB are Co-opted members
- 1 Staff LAB member
- 2 Parent LAB members
- We aim to have one parent whose child attends our Lower School Yrs1-8 and one whose child attends our Upper School Yrs8-11.
- The Head Teacher
The LAB meets once every half-term, 8 times a year to review how the school is running and to ensure that both support and challenge are offered.
LAB members regularly visit the school both to monitor and support us.
As a school we always welcome new members and currently we have 3 vacancies that we hope to fill shortly.
To enquire about becoming a LAB member please contact the school office by email: email@example.com to express your interest.
The Chair of our LAB is Mr P Jackson. Should you need to contact him, please do so by email: firstname.lastname@example.org or in writing via the school office at the address below.
Our committee details and meeting attendance information can be gained from the links at the top of this page under the LAB section. For any other information regarding our Local Academy Board, including minutes from the meetings, please contact the school office.
