Primary Boxercise Classes Wednesday 13th November 2024

Boxing has proven to be a valuable activity for pupils with ADHD and autism, offering benefits that extend beyond physical fitness. At Castlewood School, we recognise the positive impact of this dynamic sport on focus, discipline, and social skills. Boxing helps channel energy constructively, improves self-discipline, and promotes concentration, making it an ideal activity for neurodiverse learners.

On Wednesday, 14th November, Castlewood’s primary pupils participated in an exciting boxing session led by Mr. Kay from SH Active Sports. The session was a huge success, with students eagerly engaging in each activity, demonstrating increased levels of fitness, concentration, and self-control. Pupils worked hard to follow instructions carefully, exercising not only their physical but also their thinking skills as they practiced various boxing techniques. They also showed tremendous encouragement toward their peers, embodying the spirit of teamwork and respect.

The session not only boosted their fitness but also fostered essential life skills in a fun, inclusive environment. We’re grateful for the support of SH Active Sports and look forward to seeing our students continue to benefit from boxing in both body and mind.
