Here are the shortened learning intentions for your day at CONKERS with SEMH pupils:
- Develop Social Skills: Pupils will engage in group activities to enhance cooperation and communication.
- Enhance Emotional Regulation: Through outdoor adventures, pupils will practice coping strategies to manage their emotions and build resilience.
- Increase Engagement with Nature: Pupils will participate in hands-on, nature-based activities to promote physical activity and curiosity about the environment.
Castlewood School had a fantastic day at CONKERS, where 18 primary-aged pupils, alongside 2 secondary-aged pupil mentors, engaged in a variety of exciting activities. The day included high ropes courses, an obstacle challenge, a bear hunt game, a 4D cinema experience, and an indoor adventure treetop walk.
Throughout the day, the pupils worked on developing their social skills by collaborating on challenges, enhanced their emotional regulation by navigating adventurous activities, and deepened their engagement with nature through hands-on experiences.
Our staff team ensured a supportive environment, making the trip a memorable success. This visit was part of our Primary Sports Premium plan, aligning with the government initiative to increase physical activity among children. We look forward to returning for more adventures in the future!
