Pupils Enjoy Behind-the-Scenes Experience at Hickory’s Smokehouse
KS4 Pupils enjoyed an exciting educational visit to Hickory’s Smokehouse in Castle Bromwich on Wednesday 21st January. The group were given an inside look at how the restaurant operates, beginning with a demonstration of how Hickory’s creates its popular milkshakes before trying their hand at making their own.

The visit continued with a special film screening in Hickory’s 12-seater cinema, complete with freshly made popcorn. Afterwards, pupils sampled the restaurant’s signature dish- slow smoked Texas style brisket and learned about the origins of the meat and the cooking methods that give it its distinctive flavour.

The experience proved highly enjoyable and inspiring, with several pupils expressing newfound interest in pursuing careers within the hospitality sector.

Thank you, Dan and Lynsey, for making this a memorable experience for our pupils.
