As part of our careers programme, key stage 2 and 3 pupils had the unique opportunity to participate in Severn Trent’s engaging “Water Street” workshop. This interactive session, delivered in their classrooms, provided an exciting and educational experience focused on the vital role of water in our lives.
The workshop also included practical activities that highlighted the importance of conserving water. The pupils participated in a game where they identified water-saving practices and discussed ways to reduce water waste at home and school. This interactive approach helped them understand the impact of their actions on the environment and encouraged them to adopt more sustainable habits.
Andrew, the Education Officer provided insights into Severn Trent’s role in managing water resources and maintaining the water supply infrastructure. The pupils were intrigued by the behind-the-scenes look at how water is treated and delivered to their homes. This segment of the workshop gave pupils insight into the many career opportunities that are available within Severn Trent.
