As part of National Careers Week, Castlewood School had the pleasure of hosting Severn Trent’s innovative Experibus, bringing an exciting and educational experience to our pupils. The Experibus is part of Severn Trent’s “Wonderful Water Tour,” designed to inspire and educate children about the fascinating world of water.
The Experibus offered a unique, hands-on learning environment where pupils engaged in various activities related to water science and engineering. During the visit, our pupils had the opportunity to play the roles of scientists and engineers, conducting water quality tests and searching for leaks. This interactive approach helps children understand the importance of water conservation and the science behind clean water.
The pupils thoroughly enjoyed their experiences, particularly the Virtual Reality headsets which allowed pupils to follow a raindrop’s journey from the sky, through the water treatment process, into homes, back through the sewers, and finally through the waste treatment process before it flowed out to the river.
Special thanks to Severn Trent’s education staff Andy, Lucy Chloe and Siobhan who made the day memorable for our pupils.
