As part of our Careers programme, Year 10 pupils spent the morning at Hickory’s Smokehouse in Castle Bromwich.
The morning began in the kitchen, where pupils learned about the smokers that are essential for achieving the renowned hickory’s smoked barbecue flavour. They even had the chance to load the smoker with Hickory Wood, Smoked Pork Jalapeno and Cheese Sausages.
Next, the pupils got creative by making their own milkshakes! While waiting for their sausages to smoke, they enjoyed a film in Hickory’s Cinema, complete with popcorn.
The highlight of the morning was savoring the delicious freshly smoked sausages served with crispy fries!
The pupils thoroughly enjoyed their experience and behaved impeccably.
A special thank you to Laura, Lee, Jacko, and Chris, the staff at Hickory’s, who made this experience so memorable!
