Year 11 Arts & Culture Enrichment Day – Birmingham City Centre

As part of our Careers within the Curriculum initiative, Year 11 pupils took part in an enriching Arts and Culture day in Birmingham city centre on Wednesday 24th October.

The day began with an exciting visit to the Apple Store, where pupils engaged in a hands-on digital art workshop. They explored professional creative tools and learned digital illustration techniques, gaining valuable insight into the technology and skills used in the creative industries.

Following this, pupils visited the Giants exhibition at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. They were captivated by the impressive 3D models of extinct animals and enjoyed exploring the interactive displays. A particular highlight was the Ozzy Osbourne exhibition, which offered a fascinating look into the life and legacy of one of Birmingham’s most iconic cultural figures.

This experience not only allowed pupils to develop their artistic and digital skills but also helped to broaden their cultural understanding and appreciation of local heritage. It was a memorable day that supported both personal development and career exploration within the creative sector.
