As part of our ongoing partnership with Balfour Beatty Vinci (HS2), pupils visited the Bromford East Portal HS2 Site. They had the opportunity to see the Tunnel Boring Machine in action and learned about the complex process involved in boring the Bromford Tunnel. This 3.5-mile twin-bore high-speed rail tunnel will be a crucial part of the route between Water Orton and Washwood Heath. Additionally, pupils discovered the various career opportunities available within the company.

The highlight of the visit was a behind-the-scenes bus tour, where pupils witnessed the construction works firsthand. They enjoyed their visit and were inspired to consider the many and varied career opportunities available within the construction industry.
